Question about the Russian Army’s officer cadre???

How many years of service would it take someone to reach the rank of Major in the Russian Army or KGB???? I noticed our Yahoo Answers community has a “Retired Russian Red Army Major, who’s 21 years old!!!! To my knowledge, it should take a Lieutenant a minimum of 5 to 6 years to be promoted to a Major. In some armies, even longer! A retired major at 21 means he was commissioned at 15???? I didn’t know Russia took in officers just out of high school, without any higher education. Lol! And in this officer’s short tenure, he is quote “IM A RETIRED MAJOR OF RUSSIAN RED ARMY ALSO A FORMER KGB AGENT AND IM A WEAPONS,ARMORED VEHICLES,AND HELICOPTERS SPECIALIST.” Varied and very impressive experience I must say! Hahaha! If I were in Russia, I’d probably be Colonel General or something by now! Wow!
Hahaha! And he now lives in the US!!! Hell, I wonder if your intelligence agencies are tapping this guy’s wealth of knowledge. Lol!

He is Full of shi*zky
